Hello District 3!
This week was my first as your new Representative in the Utah State House. I am excited to work with my fellow lawmakers to pass meaningful legislation to improve the lives of Utahns across the state, but especially in our Cache Valley communities.
Please fill out this survey if you would like to share your thoughts on the issues that impact our communities with me. Your feedback helps inform the decisions I make on behalf of our district!

I was blessed to have my wife, Dana, sitting with me
as I took the Oath of Office this Tuesday.

This year, I will be serving on three separate committees:
- Public Education Appropriations
- House Judiciary
- House Government Operations
These roles will allow me the opportunity to address some of the most important issues in our state, such as government transparency, efficiency, responsible budgeting, and supporting our students and teachers.

I will keep you updated on my work throughout the session, but please don't hesitate to reach out to me through my Legislative Page below with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. I want to hear from you!
Thank you,

Week 1 Legislative Update
|
|
This week, I was proud to be joined on the House floor by Daniella Lopez, a student at Green Canyon High School in North Logan. This bright young woman presented her research in the Utah Capitol, which she took to Washington, DC this past summer for nationals.
|
|
I also had a nice visit from the new Cache County Auditor, Matthew Funk, County Executive David Zook, and Karina Brown. We talked about priorities for our county and how I can provide support to them throughout this legislative session. Thank you for all the hard work you're doing!
|
|
Finally, Senator Chris Wilson and I had the privilege to meet with members of the Logan City Youth Council, and Logan City Council members, Amy Anderson and Ernesto Lopez. Their enthusiasm and ambitions both inspired and impressed me. To learn more about the Logan City Youth Council, please reach out to Ernest Lopez at ernesto.lopez@loganutah.gov. Thank you to Council members Anderson and Lopez for their leadership and service!
