2025 General Legislative Session Update: Week 2

Hello District 3!

This week has been full of long days and hard work for Cache Valley. I am humbled to work with my talented colleagues as we strive to improve Utah and our communities.

Also, thank you to everyone who responded to my survey concerning important topics that will come up in this session. Many of you expressed concerns over housing affordability, tax cuts, and energy independence. I am excited to explore and collaborate on solutions that make the most sense for our families and hometowns.

Week 2 Legislative Update
I will update you on my work throughout the session, but please don't hesitate to contact me through my Legislative Page below with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. I want to hear from you!

Thank you,

Jason Thompson
Representative, House District 3

Friends on the Hill
I also had a nice visit with the Logan School District Superintendent Frank Schofield. It was great chatting about education policy and how we can better serve our students!
I had the privilege of chatting with our Utah State Treasurer, Marlo Oaks. He is an incredibly talented individual with a wealth of experience in the financial sector.
House Majority Whip Karianne Lisonbee has been a great mentor as I've learned more about the legislative process and how to be an effective advocate for my constituents.
